Australia's most successful Olympic distance triathlete, Peter ‘Robbo” Robertson will join Para-Triathlete champion Justin Godfrey as a Yarrawonga Mulwala Multisport Ambassador again.
“It’s great to be back in Yarrawonga Mulwala, I just love the place and the atmosphere around the event,” Peter said.
Against the odds, Peter was Australia’s first athlete to qualify for the inaugural Olympic triathlon team for the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
He has also won more ITU World Championships for Australia than any other male, with 3 golds and 2 silver medals. In 2015 Peter was inducted into the ITU Hall of Fame.
Along with representing Australia at two Olympics (Sydney 2000 & Athens 2004), 2 Commonwealth Games (Manchester 2002 & Melbourne 2006) where he won a bronze medal (Melbourne) and six world championship events.
From 2000 until 2008 Peter qualified for every Australian team and during this time he was Australia's most dominant athlete on the international circuit. His hard and fast attitude towards racing was enjoyed by his numerous fans and supporters.
