Season one of Aussie Hoops wrapped up last week with 51 budding basketballers having a great time under the guidance of experienced coach Nat Weston.
“Our Aussie Hoops Program is extremely popular for the grade prep and one age group,” said YMBA President Amanda Wheaton.
“This program gives this age group a great start in basketball, as it enables them to develop good ball handling skills and basketball knowledge from an early age and prepares them beautifully for the game situation when they reach grade two.
“Nat Weston does an amazing job guiding these youngsters and they have so much fun on the court in the process.”
Nat Weston applauded the parental support this season saying, “the program has been extremely successful with great parent helpers and the kids have developed in confidence and skills each week on the court”.
“The kids have been a delight to coach.”
Aussie Hoops will be run again next term. Information can be found on the Yarrawonga Mulwala Basketball Associations website: foxsportspulse.com.au (basketball/Vic-country/Yarrawonga-Mulwala basketball Assoc)
